Math-A-Thon!

Mann school is partaking in the Mathathon where students practice their math skills and raise money for children at St. Jude Children's Hospital. Depending on how much money they raise, they can also earn prizes. Here's how it works:
  1. Consent forms will be going home sometime this week with your child. These consent forms are required to participate. There is also an envelope attached to the consent form for you to keep and collect money in.
  2. Students are able to participate online HERE or by doing their math in printed funbooks. Please indicate on the consent form which one you want. If you choose the online funbook, you do not need anything else, you can just start HERE. If you choose a printed funbook, these will be ordered and sent home before winter break. These do not need to be returned. Please note, you can order a different grade level for your child should you wish.
  3. Students get sponsors to donate a flat amount or pledge a certain amount per math problem they complete. All checks are made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Students will have all of winter break to do thisMoney will be turned in to Ms. Smith (in an envelope that was connected to the consent form or any envelope) January 26th
  4. Money will due by Thursday, Jan. 26th.  Prizes should come in March. Any student that participates and raises money (even if it's only 1 cent), will earn a horseshoe hooray! The class that raises the most money will earn a mega horseshoe each, even if they didn't participate!
  5. Our school has set the goal of $3000! We can do this! Thanks for participating in this worthy cause.
  6. Questions please reach out to Elyse Smith esmith@op97.org if you have any questions
