Week 4...score!

On last Friday a log-in information sheet with your child's log-in information for MobyMax came home. We have all take the math placement test and are welcome to work on the site both math and language arts as a homework option! We will also do some work here in class on math workshop days.

Also on Friday, an information sheet about proper Handwriting Without Tears {the handwriting curriculum we use} letter formation went home as a reference for you to use with your child. We are working through the handwriting book here at school and as reinforcement as the year progresses we will do extra practice sheets to be sure we are forming letters properly and efficiently so we can write lots and lots! :)

Monday, September 15th Roald Dahl day internationally! First thing in the morning we were a part of a live stream from England to celebrate the day! Mrs. Domalick's class joined us for the fun too! It was actually 2pm BST, so after the stream we had wonderful discussions about time zones, in addition to all things Roald Dahl and our current chapter book read aloud Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Check out my Twitter feed for all we were up to!

Magic Tree Bookstore has Mike Curato, author and illustrator of Little Elliot, Big City coming to Mann on Wednesday, October 1st to talk with kids in grade K-2. After his presentation, he will sign and personalize books.  If you would like to order one, please fill out this form here and submit it with a check to your child's teacher by Monday, September 22nd.
