Voting...

Today is a big day at Mann School. We are voting! We will watch campaign videos from each of the 5th grade students running for the executive board of student council and vote for 6. We also will be voting for Piggie or Fly Guy. These two candidates are popular characters in children's books and we have been using their campaigns as a means of bringing the national presidential election down to the student's level. The children watched two short campaign videos and have begun to argue their points about their choice. On Friday, we created our own fliers and included reasons why we would vote for PIggie or Fly Guy. The whole school votes today! We find out the winner on Wednesday. It is an exciting time here at Mann school!

Also, because of the voting. There is no school for children tomorrow {Tuesday, November 6}. Teachers will be in meetings that day.
