OUTSTANDING Tuesday morning notes...

Greetings!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend and were able to spend time with friends and family. I successfully cooked my first turkeys! Hooray!

I have made some changes to my blog lay-out in hopes of making things more readily assessable for you. I have a page for spelling words. I have a page for the learning targets each week.  I have the math fact flash cards available should you need a set to work on. Additionally, I have also added a homework page so that if you are curious what the homework will look like for the week, you can peek there. Remember in first grade, homework is a great deal about learning how to do homework. Having a set place in the home that is advantageous to productive study. Learning to have a routine after school as to when is best to do homework. For some kids it's right after school. For others, we work so hard all day, they need some down time before getting down to work on homework. The homework should be independent level work. For us we may need help and assistance reading the directions, but we should be able to do the task independently.

We have some good news to report! We have spelled another compliment word--OUTSTANDING! {Remember we earn a letter each time another teacher in the school compliments us!} I am so proud of the Candy Corns! We will vote today what our reward for our good behavior will be! We will email you what we decide to do to celebrate our OUTSTANDING accomplishment!

I will send another reminder email, but Thursday, November 29th will be Mustang Motto Day! Which means we get to go shopping at the Horseshoe Hooray Store! {Wear your school colors, Mann gear, or Candy Corn T-shirt-- woohoo!}

Report cards will come home next week on Tuesday, December 4.

As ALWAYS my inbox is always open. I am always available to chat on the black top. I'm here to help if you have any questions or concerns!

Thanks for ALL you do! :)
