MannKind pencil project...

Your first grader will tell you more, but we are on the hunt for new or gently used pencils! We have been paired with a school in Arkansas that is not as fortunate as us. All of Mann School is collecting pencils to send to them just in time for Valentine's Day! The children have chosen our classroom goal as 875...that's collecting 875 pencils to send to our new friends! We have been having conversations about creative ways to gather pencils. We encourage them to think "outside the box" in order to fill our pencil box! Running to Staples to buy a pack is easy, but not a worthwhile way to get this needed school supply to our partner school.

Click here to visit the website that paired MannKind with the school in Arkansas. Further more, there is an under-construction MannKind website that you can visit to learn more about our school service club! If you have further questions please email MannKind mannkind1@gmail.com

If your child comes home eager to do chores, and be paid in pencils, now you know why :)

P.S. On the right of this post I will have a tally of how many pencils we have gathered thus far. In the classroom we will be creating a pencil graph! :)
