We were treated to a fantastic art appreciation activity with Mrs. Hyman this month. She introduced us to the artist Marc Chagall. One of his mediums was creating stained glass windows for churches, synagogues, and even the United Nations building in New York City. The children in room 116 were then given the opportunity to create their own stained glass windows. Each window pane came out as unique and special as the child that created it!
As we have no outside windows in our classroom...we are going to hang these creations in the front lobby windows for the whole school (and passers by to Mann Elementary School) to enjoy.
